Catalina Ruiz-Healy, Founder & Principal of Camino Impact Partners, is a nationally respected philanthropy and social impact strategist with 30 years of experience advising ultra-high-net-worth individuals, multigenerational families, and foundations on how to give with purpose, clarity, and lasting impact. With a career spanning philanthropy, social innovation, and nonprofit leadership, she is known for her ability to translate values into strategy and vision into results. Catalina has counseled some of the most influential philanthropic families and institutions in the country—ranging from private and family foundations and civic organizations to Fortune 50 companies—consistently delivering bold, measurable, and equity-driven outcomes across a variety of issue areas..
Most recently as Vice President at Hirsch Philanthropy Partners (now Third Plateau), one of the nation’s premier philanthropy advisory firms, Catalina led engagements for families stewarding over $300 million in philanthropic assets. She is a trusted guide for clients across the philanthropic lifecycle—from making their first gift after a liquidity event, to engaging the next generation, to designing thoughtful, high-impact spend-down plans. Her approach integrates strategic rigor with emotional intelligence, offering families discretion, insight, and a clear path to meaningful change.
Catalina is a Certified 21/64 Advisor, bringing specialized expertise in facilitating multigenerational conversations and aligning diverse voices around shared values and goals. A former nonprofit founder and CEO, she built and scaled an award-winning edtech platform focused on educational equity—giving her firsthand understanding of the challenges nonprofits face and what it takes to fuel transformative giving from the other side of the table.
Her leadership extends beyond advisory roles: she has held public office as a Commissioner on the San Francisco Board of Elections, advanced statewide policy as a Fellow with the Women’s Foundation of California, and served on numerous nonprofit boards. Catalina holds a Master’s in International Affairs from Columbia University and a B.A. from Pomona College. She is bilingual in English and Spanish and can bring a multicultural lens to all her work.

Megan McTiernan is a Principal at Camino Impact, a boutique philanthropy advisory firm dedicated to guiding generosity with joy, clarity, and purpose. Based in San Francisco, Megan brings more than 25 years of experience helping individual and institutional donors turn their values into meaningful impact—with strategic rigor, warmth, and an unwavering commitment to their vision.
Megan's work sits at the leading edge of climate change philanthropy, where she partners with clients on science-driven wildfire management and building decarbonization initiatives. She also manages a portfolio of locally led conservation and sustainable agriculture efforts across Latin America, building deep, trusting relationships with grantees and partners who are closest to the solutions.
As a versatile strategist, Megan excels at meeting donors wherever they are on their philanthropic journey—especially those new to formal giving models. She works alongside clients to clarify their giving priorities, identify high-value funding opportunities, and create portfolios that reflect their lived experience and aspirations. Beyond climate, Megan brings deep expertise in education, homelessness, workforce development, economic security, and wealth-building strategies for low-income families.
Megan's leadership experience includes serving as Executive Director of the Thomson Family Foundation, leading after-school programs for West Contra Costa Unified School District, and building the career services department for Treasure Island Job Corps. Her sector roots run deep in Northern California and Texas, where she brings invaluable insight into the regions' most important philanthropic and nonprofit actors.
An active member of the San Francisco community, Megan serves on the board of Episcopal Community Services, the city's largest nonprofit service provider to people experiencing homelessness. She is a former board member of Exponent Philanthropy and IGNITE National.
Megan holds a BA in Latin American Studies and Spanish from Tulane University and a Master's in Education from Harvard University. She is fluent in Spanish and an avid world traveler.
